10 Digit Telephone Number Dialing Becomes Compulsory

Gone are the days when you did not have to dial your own city code. An official approval by ICASA which sees introduction in the New Year. The implications for businesses making use of PABX systems can be devastating. With hundreds of frequently dialed numbers in speed dial lists, companies may find this not functioning for those numbers that do not have the local area code included. It is thus most urgent for such companies to alter all local numbers to include local area codes. PABX vendors all over South Africa will be inundated with requests for assistance in this matter.
