BREAKING NEWS
Webstorm to boost the speed of its broadband DSL service by Mid August 2010 to 10Mbps

We have focused our efforts on ensuring our network is the best and ready to launch ADSL speeds of Up to 10 Mbps. In mid August 2010 we will offer a ADSL package capable of providing consumer line speeds of up to 10 Mbps, but only where the network supports this, I.e. DSLAM's enabled with Ethernet backhaul and where the local loop conditions allow.
Existing and prospective customers who wants to take advantage of the new higher speed service will therefore need to be inside the 10Mbps foot print, i.e. reside in the suburbs and towns. The existing 384kbit/s and 512kbit/s ADSL Resell offerings will remain unchanged at this time.
The 10Mbps offering is an exciting development for Webstorm and we would like to assure our customers that we are committed to meeting your business needs and wish to remain your broadband provider of choice.
Mail Server upgrade
Webstorm will be upgrading all our mail servers. This will be done in stages over the next three months!
Webstorm strives to add as much value as possible to its clients services through constant upgrades and betterment of its services, and as such, we are in the process of upgrading all our email servers.
This is due to the constant attacks on our servers by spammers trying to access email account details in order to relay their spam through these email accounts.
We have, during the course of our initial setup, noticed that a lot of the email accounts are protected using what we call 'simple' passwords.
eg.webstorm@webstorm.co.za the password set is webstorm123.
This makes the hacker's job far too easy and it's almost a guarantee that your account will get hacked and used to send spam and should this happen, your email account will without a doubt be listed on the various blacklists for spam. This means that you will be unable to send email to anyone as the recipients mail servers will reject your email as spam and bounce it back to you, this is almost guaranteed as 99% of all email servers rely on spam blacklists (and there are many) to prevent spam from reaching their clients.
Once the migration to the new server starts we will be forced to change all 'simple' mail passwords to more secure ones in order to protect your mail box and privacy. We will however notify you via email before this takes place and we will supply you with your new email password.
Should you at anytime have a problem accessing your mail please do not hesitate to contact our Helpdesk on 086 110 1527 for assistance.
